iOS vs Android in 2025:
- iOS apps get more TLC (might not matter over time)
- iOS scrolling is better (Android needs to fix this)

iOS vs Android in 2025:
Another pet peeve of mine, considering iOS notifications: Scroll animations run at 120 fps, but the swipe-away ones seem capped at 60Ivan Čurić
I agree, when I made the switch this was a big lossCaidan
Oh, and considering "iOS scrolling is better (Android needs to fix this)" — absolutely disagree! iOS has this weird inertia and speed capping when flicking. Also seems to have a lot of initial delay.Ivan Čurić
The notifications were so much better before 2-3 years. *sad emoji* Here is a reply that won't help you. However, what I did when notifications on iPhone became erratic as they are now, I shut off notifications for A LOT of apps.Michael P Wright
I’ve done this yeah, as well as my watch, only certain apps make it to my wrist.Adam Argyle
You know. It's weird I can't put my finger on it exactly, but the order of notifications used to be a lot more logical. Same with the watch – that's being good to your battery life.Michael P Wright
Totally agree. I haven’t really found a solution, I just put up with it. Which is a bummer!Katie Langerman
I agree, the only thing I miss from Android are notification icons in status bar (even if it could quickly become a mess). Also notification LED on old Android devices (not sure it’s still a thing now).Pierre Burel
I switched too last year and I agree. Notifications are way better on Android. Also blocking spam calls and messages is so bad on iOS. The worst part for me has been typing. I've tried multiple keyboards and I make 10x more mistakes compared to Android.Pier
Notifications are easier to get to on Android too: you pull down anywhere from the Home Screen, on iOS you reeeeeach up to the top and… no that’s control centre, try again, reeeeach… no that’s control centre again, try again… reeeeach… ah there it is. Apple king of UX? Yeah right ????Will Stone
I’ve been an iPhone user for about 10 years now but have considered going back so I’m curious: what do you miss from Android? What do they do better? Will Stone
