Finally… Chrome 145 joins WebKit and Firefox in supporting overscroll effects on nested scrollers. No more bonk UX, get the same soft edge bounce as the main page has always had!

I felt very strongly Chrome needed to join Firefox and Safari in this behavior, so glad to see it finally.

I hate it, so annoying.

Guess you could always use a custom CSS override with `* { overscroll-behavior: none; }` ? ????

Scrolling in Chrome lines up to what your OS does. MacOS has bouncy scrollers everywhere, so it was a bug (and felt uncanny) that Chrome didn't support it in non-root scrollers. On Linux (which IIRC you are also on) you won't get bouncy scroll, as it doesn't do that by itself.

Too bad it doesn't respect prefers-reduced-motion. It's the kind of effect that makes people with vestibular problems nauseous.
